Developing rural tourism is defined as one of the key solutions and tasks of the National Target Programme on New-style Rural Area Development in the 2021-2025 period. The mindset has changed, shifting from agricultural production to developing the rural economy, thereby helping localities to implement effectively and sustainably criteria of the new-style countryside.
To carry out the One Commune- One Product (OCOP) programme, Ninh Binh province soon approved a project to define each region with one safe and high-quality product for the 2018-2020 period. After three years of implementation, the programme has seen as a suitable solution for developing agricultural products, handicraft products, services and tourism of each region, thus contributing to restructuring the rural economy towards high added value.
The national target programme on building new-style rural areas in the northern province of Ninh Binh has targeted practical and comprehensive development by improving the spiritual and material lives of local people. It has also focused on developing the rural economy; preserving and promoting good cultural values and protecting the environment in order to build new-style rural areas sustainably.
